不知到你们还记得这一天吗? 还真怀念我们的日子!

.......

刚从关丹海岸回来，现在又来一趟古城之旅。不过，这一趟旅程，我可不是孤单，又不寂寞的。家人及几位要好得朋友都一起参于这一程马六甲之旅。早上七时正，”V“先生已经低达了我家门前，眼睛朦朦胧胧的，也不知道准备了多少，随便的拿起钱包就上了贼车。一路上，谈笑风生，两小时的路程，不知不觉的到了目的地。

唉！这个旅程，除了吃，还是吃。由粒粒鸡饭开时，到鱼滑面(卖完了，吃拷面包) ，杂冰，Cendol, Popiah, 咖哩面，亚山拉沙。由早餐吃到午餐，真肥噢！其是，整天的旅程，我也不懂旅游地点的名称，只懂历史古城。慢慢的回想，其是几年前，也曾经来过。原物的遗迹，原封不动，只是多了一间百货公公司，多了几个小摊；多了无数人潮，也多了几个回忆。不知道停留多久，听见朋友们的嘻嘻哈哈，也随他们而去了。。

过后，”V“先生又带我们吃什么”Jelok XX”的, 太多人了，改吃印度餐。食物还蛮不错，有Tandoori Chicken, Cheese Nun, XX Nun, Butter Chicken, 什么 Kari Chicken的, 。也太多了！也不知道可以吃完吗？最后还是吃完了。。哈哈！

晚餐完了，还要为我们的”M“先生购买黄梨塔。。唉！又买来搭仙吧！

终于回家了，好累！”V“先生还是来个小睡吧！换“ J” 小姐来代替驾驶。起先还有点小怕，但是还是别想，因为会更怕！” M“先生躲在座边，睡到整个猪头样。” A“先生，“ J” 小姐，和我谈的津津有味。

万岁！安全底达！只要告诉大家：” 谢谢“！

Job and Me

Holiday life has gone and it is the time to work now. I am recruited by one of a famous local bank and started my job on last 2 weeks. Some people quit envy on my job and position, a so called good pay and attractive employee package (compare to other companies). However, it is still something not my intention. Yes, I know I should appreciate what I have now.

My new job, everything is good. My new colleagues are good, my working table is spacious, excellent working environment compare my previous job. On my day 2, I have already been assigned plenty of works, and 3 times site visit within a week. I think my team is extremely out of hand apparently (better than sit on the desk and do nothing). As a newbie, I wouldn’t reject any kind of “invitations” to avoid unfriendly impression. On my Day 6, war was already started between inter- department. As you know, I better act like a stupid face, pretending knows nothing. This is the real life in the working place, either you stab me or I stab you.

I always found that dream and reality are totally 2 difference worlds. When you have a dream, and you will work hard to chase you dream. When the time you can realize your dream. It always has something prohibit your action like money, discouragement, restriction, and blah blah blah. I think the most important thing is the gut from your heart. No wonder people always say, do whatever you must do when you are young and free. When the time you are getting older, you will get less gut and confidence. :)

Well, life is still going on. No matter how hard of the life is. I still need a dream to survive.

Recently, I find out an interested website that make me a feel bit fascinated. I would like to share it to all my friends. Getting Better??

I always think that do I get better in my English after I have practiced my writing through the blog? Yes, I think I do. I admit that there are still some grammar mistakes on my blog. However, I think the improvement is still there. A minutes before, I tried to read my previous articles past 2 years. OMG, I was a beginner, and now I act like a teacher to review back my own article. I can't remember how many language mistakes(grammar, structure, vocabulary) I had made, and corrected. I feel a bit shame that I am still writing my blog here. No, that is not true!! Only writing blog can get me into better writing skill.

After came back from Ozzie and NZ, I got some compliments from some friends about my talking skill especially those from English ed. I feel I'm proud on myself even thought I'm not VERY good. At least, I didn't waste my 1 year time in these 2 English countries. Some people always think that "Oh, what were you doing there?", "What? kitchen work? waiter? barista? Oh, you have been studied so much, this was what you did there?", "I think you can work more $$ than what you worked there? Why you still wanna go there? You are having a prof job here." ... blah blah blah. However, they never think that there are still some other things can learn there, but, may hardly learn in Malaysia. All the while, I never regret on my past decision to leave the country. At least I tried and eventually I succeed this extraordinary job was given by god, where most of the people even don't have the courage to do it. Wow, I'm one of a extraordinary people!

Be honest, I missed out the best time to do investment especially the properties in 2008. I never expect the lands/houses in Malaysia are tremendously increased after a year, almost double up. 2008 year was the best time to invest in house and land while the bank interest rate was low. Unfortunately, most my saving was fully dump into my holiday working plan at that time. Without get me down, I still chose vacation instead of money. **Today, I went to the Properties fair, non of the house I can afford to buy. I feel the price a bit over ... feel sad!! :(

Now, I'm back. I'm still glad I completed almost 90% of the last 2 years resolutions. It's time for a new resolutions 2011. Keep going on, Jason!

28 DAYS IN NEW ZEALAND - NELSON - GREYMOUTH

Sunny, 23^rd July 2010, Friday, today is the day I have been waiting for. Yes, I will visit the amazing of Pancake Rocks, Punakaiki via Cape Foulwind. Cape Foulwind is home to a fur seal breeding colony which you will have the chance to view. After driving through Paparoa National Park, we take a stop to visit the famous Punakaiki Pancake Rocks, which is also another pretty amazing sight, especially the sea is in the full swing. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the high tide’s hour for us to view the amazing of the full swing (the best time to view is in the evening btw 6 to 7pm, high tide). According to the witness of the full swing, the water will flush high up to 10 meters from the sea level. We stayed there approximately an hour before go ahead to overnight stop, Greymouth.

At Greymouth, you can choose to join Monteith Brewery tour (typical Kiwi tour), including BBQ dinner (NZ30). It is a great chance to meet some of the interesting local. However, it wasn’t suit for Asian like me, Carol and Ivan. We plan to do a free walk in the city. We walk in to the supermarket for the dinner food. Then, we visited one of a historical railway station in Greymouth, and enjoy the dusk view along the river. We sat on the bench to view the dynamic colour of the sky from blue to purple, from purple to orange and red, then yellow. The day was getting darker and darker. We forced to leave even thought we felt reluctant.

I spent one night in Neptune Backpacker house. The hostel is not bad and pretty near to the town center. This is the place where I met Choi, an insane Korean-But-Looks-Like-Japanese, who is full of joy and fun.

I’m out!! I’m out (with mass of Vegetable-Oil-Blood)!!!

Yes, that is Painball. I was invited by an ex-colleague, Paullie, to join a violent activity on last Saturday. There are nine of us (friend’s friend), one member from unknown, and all together we formed a team of ten.

It was my first time to play painball. I got no idea how to wear, what to bring, and what to do. When I arrived to the war site, everyone was wearing long sleeves shirt and jeans. However, I wore a short pants, and a thin T-shirt. Consciously, I found my attire “wasn’t suit for this game”. Okay, what does it mean by “wasn’t suit”? It means you still can involve in the game, but with lots of PAIN, PAIN and PAIN. Obviously, it was all Paullie’s fault. Eventually, I was shot on my knee and leg, and was bleeding in the first game.

For the 2nd and 3rd game, there were some outsider members (regulars) joining in. Yes, I can say it will be more fun with more people. I learned to be smart in the game. Hide, run and shoot accurately. Yeah, it was a good strategic to save myself in the uncertain game from opponent's attack. However, I was still one of the earlier man was kicked off from the game. I think it need lots of experience and practice to be survived. By end of the day, everyone was exhausted and dehydrated. We gave up continuing further round after the 3rd game.

Well, it was a fun game to play and hide in the bush. However, it needs lots of energy and patience especially when you are running under the sun. In additional, there are a lot of hidden vampires fly across, and extract a drop of blood from your body. To avoid it happens on you, I will recommend the player wears long sleeves and long pants. It not only can avoid from the mosquito bite; it can also reduce the pain from shooting. (bring mosquito repellent too!!)

Raining, 22nd July 2010, Thursday, the day seemed like not too good in the morning. However, it wasn’t affected our mood to next destination. Today was the day to across from North Island to South Island. It took approximately 3 hours ferry’s trip from Wellington to Picton. There is another 2 hours trip from Picton to Nelson via Marlborough. What is famous in Nelson? Yes, it is a good question! Nelson is famous in mountain trekking. You may consider to join a day trip in the Abel Tasman National Park. However, I only plan to stay a night at Nelson. I couldn’t involve myself into many activities while my traveling time was restricted. On that night, even though I don’t have any amusing activity. I still did my night walk around the town together with Ivan and Carol. We shopped at The Count Down(super market), prepare food and snacks for the next day’s journey

I stayed in Paradiso International hostel. Yes, this is the best (excellent) local hostel I had ever lived. They provide hot soup in the dinner and breakfast too. Plus 5 packs of free instance noodles as I requested. hehe!! In the winter you can spend your night with hot and sauna. In the summer, you can put off your shirt or naked?? and jump into in the swimming pool. It is ALL FREE!!! The most important is the staff is friendly, and the entire hostel is clean.

Maria, me, Elizabeth and Elodie, the best memory we had ever

Raining, 21^st July 2010, Wednesday, It took around 4-5 hours from Taupo to Wellington. On the way to the capital city, we passed through the Rangigo Desert. It is a unique barren landscape forms part of New Zealand's only official desert. In the middle way of the freeway, Glen make a rest stop, giving opportunity to everyone takes amazing photo with Mt. Doom, Tongariro National Park.

Finally, we reached the capital city of New Zealand. It is also known as the second largest city in New Zealand. Without wasting the time, we go ahead Te Papa Museum after checked-in hostel. For me, Te Papa Museum is one of a must go museum in Wellington. It is free access (you can contribute donation as you like). As a Magic passenger, we got a free dinner from the bistro next to the hostel. Free meal wasn’t good. Well, nothing good is free in this world. Everyone got a western curry chicken. Yes, it wasn’t spicy. For sure, it can’t satisfy my stomach and eventually I need to buy a Burger King set meal for my second dinner before get on the bed. The night hasn’t ended. Our “super hot” France girl came in with tipsy and swaying motion. She invited me and Maria to join the bar party where plenty Magic passengers were there. With hesitated, we were grabbed by her to the crazy party. Well, we had lots of fun on that night. Craziness and wildness party night make everyone’s relationship get into next level. Obviously, I had a “super” great sleep after the drink. I admit that I was tipsy on that night. But, not drunk.

I spent my night at Nomads Wellington. I lived in the ten beds dorm. It is spacious with reasonable price. I will say the dorm is not bad. However, I dislike the small kitchen, and the TV room is attached together with the kitchen.

Sunny, partly cloudy, 20^th July 2010, Tuesday, Yes, I was ready for the adventurous activity today. After departed from Rotorua, we went ahead to Waitomo, glow worm caves, which is 30 million years old. There are few activities you can do here like black water rafting, abseiling into cave, and glow worm cave walking. I chose the glow worm cave walking while I worried the black water rafting will too freezing to me. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong activity while I didn’t see any special on the walking. I will say black water rafting will be more fun. Maria told me it was fun and she saw massive of glow worms L. Anyway, the walk wasn’t too bad. After the walk, we head toward to Huka Fall, a stream of throwing over 200,000 litres of water each second. Those in for an adrenaline rush will have the chance to try out the jet boat on the Huka river. We make the rest stop in Taupo, situated on the edge of a lake bigger than Singapore. Taupo is a small town, nothing much we can do here except lake walk. It is a lovely town to relax and retire. At night, I cooked dinner with my Hong Kong friends, Carol and Ivan. We make T-bone steak as our dinner and it was absolutely delicious.

Sunny, 19^th July 2010, Monday, it was my first day with Magic Bus. Glen was my bus driver, cum tour guide for the North Island journey. He is a fun guy with always repeat “Sweet As” at his mouth. I reckon he speaks more than 100 times of “Sweet As” in a day. When I stepped in the bus, I couldn’t understand what the meaning of “Sweet As” is while he was talking with me. I tried to skip and ignore him. But, he don’t let me go until I response the same the same word– “SWEET AS”. Hey Hey! This is the first new word I learn in Kiwi Island. It means “cool” or “good”

I missed out of the scenery view of Mt Eden while I waited the bus at Manuka Shopping Mall bus station at nine in the morning, where is a stop in between Mt Eden and Rotorua. The first place we went was L&P bottle. This is a typical NZ drink where it only sells in New Zealand, “NO EXPORT”. This is the place where “all of us” met and started our friendship. I met Matleena from Finland, Carol and Ivan from Hong Kong, Maria from Canada, Elodie from France and Lily from Japan. The bus went ahead to town Hobbiton. If you are the fan of LOTR, you can have a chance to take the picture with the statue of Hobbiton and you can join the optional Hobbiton tour. Sorry, I am not the fan of LOTR. The bus spent 20-30 minutes in the town and then we go ahead to Rotorua, where Maori culture and thermal activity combine to make a very unique destination. Rotorua is also famous in hot spring. I chose an unusual activity where I have never done before – Mug Bath. This is also a place where our friendship was getting better. Maria, Elodie, Matleena and I were the only person joined the mug bath, and it is also a place where strengten our friendship. We had lots of fun in the dirty shower. Before we get into the mug bath, Glen took everyone into the stunning Redwood Forest. The forest is really amazing with the mature redwood. We took lots of stunning pictures, with the stunning redwood trees, and stunning people. Super cool!!

Time is flying fast, and today is the last day of Chinese New Year. It has been a period I didn't write anything on my blog. This year is my first year where I celebrate my Chinese New year at Aussie. Honestly,, I hope it wouldn't be my last year. Celebrating CNY here is even more happening and fantastic that celebrating CNY in Malaysia. On the day one, I went to the town. However, I was not alone. There are heaps of visitors on the street were celebrating this special festival with me. Lion and Dragon dance was circulating the china town and red cracker can hear anywhere on the street. I went to a Hong Kong restaurant and ordered a "Char Sui", Duck noodle for the first day of my meal. Wait .... Before I start my proper meal. I got a "肉干" while I was strolling on the street. It charged me AUD3, just for a piece.

After finished my meal, I went back to my restaurant and start my daily work as usual. I got a permission to wear in red from my boss. That day, I was the only Men-in-Red among all the waiting staffs(Day 1 mah, must wear in red). Sunday night is always not a busy day in the restaurant. Everything was smooth on that night until we shut the shop. I took a bus to meet a friend and his family who was just arriving to Melbourne city. Surprisingly, by the end of the day after we did some "eight" talk. He gave me a huge"Ang Pau", with AUD 20. This is my first Ang Pau of this year, and I have not received any "Ang Pau" apparently after that day. The red pack is very meaningful for me, not because of the money. But, I hope it brings me a luck and prosperity for my whole year. I keep it into my wallet and treat it as my "平安符". Within the CNY, there was nothing special thing happened on me. I am glad I can peacefully finish these 14 days. I hope my next 351 days will stay in good as well.

Another exciting news was happening on last Monday while I was working at the restaurant. I met a traveler who is working in the ship, he(and his girlfriend) came and dined in the restaurant. He gave the tips in USD dollar. I talked with him for a while before he hops back into the ship and going to travel to Hong Kong soon. Again, it is not an issue of money. However, It was my first USD I have earned in Aussie. As a memory, my boss made a signature on the note, and it turns as my souvenir now.

Well, today is the last day of Chinese New Year. I think I am too late to wish everyone in the first day. But, I hope I am still able to wish everyday for the remaining days of the tiger year.

My First Income - Part 2

Finally, I got my work income from the Italy restaurant. Well, it was not much! I worked 6 hours a week, and i gained AUD80 after taxed. In additional, I got another AUD7.50 for my tips on that day. It is not easy to get this job as an Asian boy with no knowledge with Italian foods. I worked as a trial for 2 days (4 hours per day). Finally, I got this job. I need to thanks to Angelo, boss of the Portofino, gave me a chance to work for her. Wow, it was a wonderful day for me!

Finally, I got a job. It was recommended by my house mate, James. It is a sale job. The working hour is from 3pm-7pm. I have to knock the door from a house by a house everyday to grab the client's detail. Well, the job is related to Australia Government Insulation Rebate Program. Basically, it is not hard to get a sale while most of the house owner wish to get a rebate from the government. I used to meet impatience customer that will ignore/reject me. However, there are some very kind customers will welcome me when they see me, especially old man.

Besides, I got another restaurant job on every Friday from 4.30pm to 10.30pm. Tonight, I will start my second new work as waiting staff, barista and kitchen hand. A little bits "Kam Cheong" with my new job. However, I know I absolutely can do it well.

James and Josephine are my first close pal that I meet in Australia. They are my house mate, and James becomes my colleague now.

Yesterday is their 1st year anniversary. I did a small surprise celebration for them. I bought a cake from Acland Bakery, St Kilda. It is one of a significant cake originally from German.
Pic 3&4 - the name of the cake is called "Chocolate Kugelhugf". The outlook looks simple and ordinary. However, the taste of the cake is wonderful. It looks like a layer cake from inside, full with chocolate, with some peanut, topping with chocolate powder.

Today is a sunny and windy day. I strolled alone at that Bundoora Park. However, I didn't feel lonely, but relax and comfortable. I like this place very much. I hope my next visit is not longer alone. But, with my beloved friends and family.

I had gone through 3 interviews so far.

1. Work at sushi bar as a sushi retailer. After ran through the job training provided by them, they ask my work availability(I am free all the time). Untill today, I have not received any call from them.

2. Become Smoothie/Fruit Juice Maker. He asked me snapped the menu with camera, then go back and memorize it and come back on the next day. I did a great job on the next day. From the feedback, he sounded like satisfied with the given test (feedback with well done, wonderful, excellent). However, he still has not called me untill today.

3. One of my excellent interviews here. I was invited by Spotless for the interview(biggest hospitality comoany in Australia) at MCG Stadium. Before the interview session started, an authority tours us around the stadium, and a briefing at the open air seat. After a short speech, we headed to the conference room and proceed with the interview. However, I don't think I will be accommodated in this position since of my working holiday visa(they need a permanent part timer). Anyhow, I still feel proud of the attendance and iIgained a free trip where everyone might don't any of opportunity.

football(Australia football, like rugby) is one of a famous game and significant activity for Australian. Usually, there will a game on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and footys always crowded in the Stadium, train, and tram with supporting panel, scraves, cap and shirt. Criket field is next to the MCG. But, i am not sure how famous of this game at here.

Finally, I decided to attend a barista course. The main reason why I need to attend this course while I am still poor is there is high market's demand here. I am not sure how fast or how well I can get my job soon. But, I think I must well prepare for myself before I start to enter into a coffee market.

Laziness

After few weeks of hard work in job searching, I was really tired with street walking. To be honest, it is hard to get a job while global economic still under recession. I think Australia is one of the affected countries in this economic downturn. For those Asians who are living with working permit/holiday visa permit, I believe most of them are holding a professional certificate. However, they work as a waiting staff, chef, sandwich maker and those non-executive jobs. Through out the difficult period, I never give up in my job searching. I searched jobs online, and walked in to submit my resume. And, I feel it was a great experience to me where it never happened in my life.

These two days, I was a bit lazy in my routine activity. After tendered my resume in the morning session, then I spent my time sitting in Dockland. It is a beautiful port where located in the central of Melbourne. I met a Chinese guy from China. He was enjoying his fishing activity. Initially, I was just enjoyed the port view. As what I have shown in my previous blog, life is simple, and we can always trigger our happiness anytime, anywhere.

** Fishing rule
There are some fishing rules in Australia. First, fisher must get a license. The size of a fish must not greater than the size as written in the fishing policy. If same species of a fish exceed with certain amount as listed in the fishing policy, then, fisher must releases back its freedom. The government enforces this policy to protect the population of the fish species by avoid extinct in future.

有位朋友与我分享了一篇短文，发现它非常的有意义。。

周末午後，無緣由被點名訓話，帶著一肚子氣步出辦公室，迎面而來是冷的天氣；加上陰冷的情緒，心情一下跌至了谷底。細雨紛飛的站牌下，不禁對諸事不順遂而怪嗔、怨懟起來。無意識上了公車，在擁擠的沙丁魚陣中仍為自己的際遇不平而怨天尤人。想著他人憑著家世背景，一進公司便在眾人之上，而為公司賣命多年的自己，仍只是別人的出氣筒，想到這裡，心情就更加暗淡了。快要下車前，走到司機身旁摸索著找零錢，卻越摸越著急，身上竟沒有半個銅板！眼看車已靠站，司機、乘客面面相覷，卻沒有一個人準備同情我！不得已之下，我只好拿出千元大鈔，顫抖著手準備投入「恕不找零」的投幣口，突然...... 一位婆婆丟進十五元，告訴司機：「兩票」便拉著我下車。下車後我才知道，其實婆婆是不用錢的，她身上的零錢只是隨時為有緣人準備；而且今天也為了我提早兩站下車，只因看我臉色不佳，想陪我一下而已。知道這件事後，我滿臉羞赧，想到婆婆剛才就站在我身邊，而我卻沒有起身讓坐……後來反倒讓她來幫助我，真令我無地自容，一小段路程，婆婆一直溫柔地執著我的手，解開我的眉梢，融化我的怨懟。臨別前她送了一個晴天小和尚給我，是她親手縫製的，上面寫著：

手把青秧插滿田，低頭便見水中天；心地清淨方為道，退步原來是向前。

婆婆說：世上本來就不公平，我們際遇不好，卻有人比我們更糟；我們怨上天不公平，那麼換成我們是老天爺呢？我們能做得更好嗎？凡事要多方面想想，其實自己是很幸運的了。當婆婆說這話時，陽光在她慈祥的背影後綻放，而我也才發現她的腿不太方便，但竟為了一個陌生人，辛苦地多走一段路，反倒快樂無比……我的淚水滑落，自己的任性造成了別人的不便，原來自己也處處給別人惹麻煩哪！婆婆謝謝您！您說的話我都聽進去了，現在的我每天都努力過得很快樂。

Casino Night

I was invited by landlord owner, Robbie, to the casino night at one his house. It is a bungalow, located at the Beach Brighton, 45 minutes walk from my Brighton’s house. The house is super nice, furnished with all facilities, and each of the room attached with one plasma TV. There is a lift in house from ground floor to the roof. From the roof, I can see the sea view and Melbourne city as well. Can’t you believe it, Robbie builds a luxury room for the tenants around the world? (I hope I can pay visit to the house again with more photos).

That night is a debut event organized by Robbie, by inviting every tenant from difference houses. He prepared some nibbles and soft drinks to serve the tenant. It was a casino night. Cards, roller plate and gamble gear were prepared on the table. When the time I was arrived, they started to play poker. I met two beautiful girls there. They are Taiwanese. It was great to meet some Asians with common language. However, I never miss out my change to meet other tenants from other countries like German, Italy, UK and Iceland. They were great and fun. It broke my ice to get close to them, and exchanged culture through our conversation. Besides, Robbie also arranged a lucky draw, and make sure each of us got a small prize. I won a bath cap (duck), and pack of biscuit. The night was fun and enjoy. That was my first western party in Australia.

Finally, I got my new home, shared with a couple from Philippine. However, the existing tenant will move out only on 26th July 2009. Then, I will move to next door tentatively with a couple from New Zealand. The next day, I got my new room, shared with my travel partner. The location of this house is not as convenience as other places. However, I like the peaceful and silence of the location. It is near to beach with 2 minutes walk distance. Well, the colour of the room is dark blue. There is one wardrobe and twin beds where prepared by the owner.

My First Night at St Kilda Beach

It was a tired day for my past 2 days. I woke up at nine and checked out at 10am. We temporary left our luggage in the hostel and walked to the Queen Victoria Market. It is a huge market within the city, where mainly attracts tourists and residents surrounded. The stalls are ordered by section based on the food type, and it is clean in the pedestrian way. If you want me to compare it with Malaysia’s market, they are much more organized and structured. After a short visit to the market, we took a free city tram surrounded the city. We stopped at Dockland, city port of Melbourne. I strolled along the jetty and enjoyed the view of the port. Beside the Jetty, some luxury apartments are constructed along the Port. It is so beautiful. After that, we took the free city tram back to my hostel, then moved into my new “house” at St Kilda Beach Hostel.

St Kilda Beach Hostel is one of the international hostels near the beach (5-10 minutes walk). To be honest, the outlook of this hostel is good, but the room’s quality is not as good as Victoria Hall Hostel. However, it is not bad in overall. The room price is much cheaper than other hostels where it costs me RM18 per day (dorm with 8 beds) if occupied for the whole week (winter sale). We shared the room with two persons from New South Wale Australia and Sepia. They are coupled. They treated us and nice and friendly. This is my first night at St Kilda.

The next day, we spent some times in Sunday Esplanade Market. This market is located at the Esplanade Road, besides sea bay. Most of the stuff are unique and local made. And, stall owners were always not allowing the tourist take photo on their local made products.

** What I hear in my shared dorm. Europeans are too open minded until they can make love in public. Unfortunetely, it was dark. Hehe!

New Chapter in Melbourne

17th July 2009, my starting in Melbourne

The temperature is cold here with 10 Celsius only. I walked in the street with 3 layers of cloth. The main thing I need to do is bank in my cash money. I choose ANZ as my banker. The people here are quite friendly and helpful. They served every customer in the same attitude. The browny lady who served me is funny and obliging. The way they served the customer is not hurried but slow and steady. I took 2 hours in the bank just for an account opening. (I think it wouldn’t happen in Malaysia or the person who in command will be sacked soon). After I have banked my cash money, I need to wait for another five more working days to get the ATM&EPTPOS card (OMG ~ slow process ~ I think it is too steady and slow). After completed the bank process, I met an estate agent at Camber Well (Suburb, 30 minutes tram from Victoria), but return with no result. I lost, and walked more than 2 hours in the Toorak Road (long road from South Yarra to Camber Well). Then, we took the tram go back to the city.

St Kilda is a place having a same zone with Victoria. Without wasting the value of the ticket, I visit toward to St Kilda beach and enjoy a “freezing” beach along the coast. (The public transport ticket is based on specific zone and time range). After a short stroll at the beach, I went back to Victoria before the ticket had expired. It was 7 pm, I walked around the town, and cannot determine which restaurant I should dine in within the china town (it was crowded). Finally, I have found a restaurant between Victoria Street and Russel Street. I ate a fine dinner with Chinese cuisine called “麻辣空间”. It is a “Si Chuang” restaurant, where mainly control by Chinese. I ordered a Si Chuang Tafu with rice. However, my travel mate has ordered a chicken soup noodle. Each dish spent us AUD 9.8. It was expensive after convert it into RM. However, it is a usual price.

**Facilities in the city
Public Transport – Personally, I like the public transport provided in the Melbourne City. The usage of one ticket can be used in three types of facility include buses, trams and trains based on a specific zone (zone 1,2,3) and time range.

Australia’s bank – The bank is spacious, but empty. Few staffs are working as an officer, and only few teller counters. There is no long queue, and always quiet. Based on my cousin’s explanation, she told me that the people in Australia are rare to visit banks. They are highly using internet banking for all the payment and transaction. But, why the process is still slow today?

My First Visitor

It was a surprise to me to receive a call from Bob. Before that, I plan to visit State Library for my job preparation today. And, he called and asked for a breakfast. It was such a warm morning call from him. He brought me to a café with a proper breakfast at St Kilda. I have ordered a cup of cappuccino and French Vanilla. That was my most luxury breakfast, where I have for my past 12 days in Australia.

Bob is an Australian, who is living in Adelaide. This trip is his business trip at Melbourne. However, he has never forgotten our friendship in Malaysia. After completed his business discussion yesterday, He came to “inspect” me and ensure I am in a stable condition.

Arrival

16th July 2009, it is my day to fly to Melbourne.

After 7 hours flight on the plane, I reached to Melbourne International Airport finally. I spent more than an hours in the airport including passed the custom (make sure declare sort of products listed on the travel list card honestly, it is not hard to proceed the security custom if u have provided with clear and sufficient information). After pass through the check point, I bought a local telephone card immediately from Vodafone. It cost me AUD9.95 for the starter kit and AUD29 as top up credit. However, the actual credit contains in the phone card is AUD150 + AUD10 from starter kit (kind of marketing strategy to attract more users??). I took the Skybus from Melbourne International Airport to the Melbourne Central (domain interchange btw tram, bus and train) in city, then transit hostel Skybus to my hostel at Russel Road, Victoria Hall Hostel (All in one cost with AUD16 p/p). It was almost 10pm when time I have arrived to hostel. It was too late for dinner. I bought a hotdog from 7-11 to fulfill me stomach (such a poor and cold night to me).

** What I saw in the Melbourne street?
There are multi races in the street especially Chinese. Instead of saying Malaysia is multi races, I think Australia is much more races than Malaysia.

Today morning, when I opened my twitter, I saw a shock news about my ex-boss, passed away on yesterday. I have no idea what was the main reason that caused him die? Anyway, it makes me depress today.

Honestly, I did not have any direct manager-subordinate relationship from him(He was just my boss). However, this news made me feel uncomfortable for the whole morning. I tried to search and find all my past photos. Have I taken any photo with him? Finally, I got it few pictures on my company trip at Krabi, Thailand. I choose this picture, because it was the most charming smile for him.

Anyway, TMS is one of my happy moments in my life. I really hope everyone can works in safe, peace and happy. Life is fragile, please appreciate friendship and family.

Gift in October

BiYesterday, when the time I walked into the kitchen, I saw a pack of courier on the dinning table. The pack is written from New Zealand. Obviously, it is a courier from my best friend - June Day. I have no idea what is inside the pack, since she never tells me anything about the delivery packages? Guess what? It is a gift for my birthday in coming October. I opened the card, enclosed with a neat and long letter. She made me so touching, and my eyes were getting wet with the encouragement and motivation words that she tried to support me.

Time flies like an arrow. I notice that I am going to thirty. We spent time in school, graduated, then we work, and now we grow. We pass through the moment of joyful, but also the moment of sadness. Even though we are far away from each other, the chain of friendship is never broken. It is great to have such a friend like you, and I am happy that you have found your happiness there too.

Well, I am waiting my “thirty” here, and will celebrate at Australia. But, I will always stay my heart in young. Thanks to you, June Day ~ your gift was delighting my day; your words have ensured my confident action.

P.S - I am thinking that how many thirty we have in our life? Have you missed out any marvelous or wonderful part in your life?

Batam, A Cosy Trip

This blog have been keeping in my draft past few months ago. Since yesterday, I started to pack the photos. Finally, it is completed.

After came back from Chiang Mai (February, 2009). I was invited by George-The-Makan King to Batam, Indonesia (Opposite Singapore, aka Mistress Island). It was a first oversea trip organized by him, without taking any flight, and lowest budget. Initially, I rejected his invitation due at the recent traveled to Chiang Mai. I have no knowledge, how he tempted me with an attractive budget package. Eventually, I joined the trip (bad excuse .. >.<). It was a short trip with 3 days 2 nights. As usual, I have to ensure the safely of the girls (Milk and Glass-Bottle), fetched them to our gathering location at Mr. Nice Man’s house. After gathered all of them, we had our breakfast at Hong Kong Lat Thong (translation into Chinese called Hong Kong Spicy Soup Restaurant). It was the spicy breakfast I have never tried before. We ordered Vinegar Pork Leg, Spicy Soup, “Fa Tiu” Chicken (Chicken with Fa Tiu Wine) and “Bao Cha” Pork (Explode Pork). The foods were not bad, but nothing special for me. Perhaps, I used to taste even better similar dishes from another restaurant at Semenyih. We headed toward to Johor Bahru(JB) after a heavy breakfast, and make short tea break stop at the highway. Then, stopped at JB for for anther lunch break. We went to a food court recommended by Elaine, where famous with Mee Rebus at Stulang Laut (downstairs of Open University). It was another “so-so” noodle plate for me. It was not bad. However, the taste of gravy can be enhanced.

We parked our car in The Zon, and take another 100 minutes boat drive from Stulang Laut to Batam Jetty. It costs us RM120++ for return tickets. We arrived at Batam at 3pm and George had well arranged with can rental’s staff before across here (one hour time different between Batam and Malaysia). We rented a MPV (Toyota Inova) and I was the key driver of the whole journey at Batam. We were using GPS as our navigator tool. The map is not clearly updated. Lucky, George still roughly remembered about the route to Indah Puri Resort.

The resort is "unexpected" + "amazingly" beautiful. The glass doors face directly to the sea view. It was clean and furnished. Suddenly, I feel fortune didn’t reject the invitation by George. It was pleased to bring me here. As we know, this resort is belonging to George’s sister. We did some surface clean to her house, which had abandoned for few months. Then, we started to enjoy relaxing activities like watching VCD, chit-chatting, some were enjoying the sea view outside the resort.

After a short break, we drove to town and had our dinner at Nagoya Hill Shopping Mall with Indonesian foods. The foods were okay for me. Basically, I never expect any delicious food in Indonesia. Abruptly, it was a blackout while we were having the dinner. I even cannot see my own hand at that time. We shocked, but steady. Ten seconds had gone and light back. It happened twice within the short dinner and all together 5 times while we were still in the mall. However, the residents were so steady and calm. I believed it was regular incidents often happened at here. We did not spend much time in mall after buying some necessary stuff. We ended our day one with simple and relax activities.

Day 2, George made us a wonderful breakfast with stir fried eggs and hams. Then, we prepared ourselves for a day trip in Batam town. Tua Pek Kong Bio is one popular attraction in this town. It is a historical Chinese Temple located in Batam town. When we stepped into the temple, we saw lots of coin shape incenses were hanging below the roof. The great scenery of incenses makes the temple become a spot of photography. We prayed and rest awhile under the roof. Then, we make a next move to lunch. We had lunch with Chinese cuisine. From the outlook of the stall (Kopitiam 68), it looks like Singaporean owner. We have ordered some fried rice, chicken rice, seafood soup, fried Kuey Tiao and Goda-Goda and Lontong. The taste was not bad and the owner charged us with reasonable price as well. It was a boring afternoon. We went to another shopping mall again near the town after lunch. We bought some raw food for dinner, who prepared by Uncle George (he is such a kind man, HL must appreciate ohhh~). Basically, there is nothing more place to visit, better go back to the resort for its own activity. Everyone has its own plan like some people go for body massage, some people like me, wandering around with a camera (act like professional), and some people turned to pig (ZzZzZz). Surprised in the evening, where Sky and Cheras Girl came over to meet us. Wow, more and more people joined, and it was so happening. While George prepared a dinner for everyone, Glass Bottle and I brought two of them to the city (short tour). It was a wonderful night where everyone was chit-chatting at the balcony, enjoying the night scene with soft wind. We took some beers, ate with nuts until midnight. The day was so peaceful and serene.

Last day, I woke up 6 in the morning, just for a trip to Melur beach. Melur Beach beautiful beach located at South of Batam. In order to reach this place, we need to drive around an hour journey from the Batam city, passed through three bridges to another island (Setoko Island, followed by Rempang Island, and then Galang Island). These islands are connected by Berelang Bridge, and Melur Beach is located at the Galan Island. As usual, we spent an hour for the photo moment, and stroll along the coast. Unfortunately, we forced to leave as the rain was getting near to us. We returned back to the resort and started to pack after the noodle's breakfast prepared by George.

About this trip, I am so glad invited by George to her sister’s villa. We spent approximately RM 350 for the whole trip. However, something made me disappointed and upset was I lost my cap presented by my good friend. This cap is quite meaningful to me where she brought back from Australia, and it is limited edition. To caution the passenger from Stulang Laut to Batam, don’t keep important stuff in your bag while taking boat. Now, I saw Firefly promoted the flight from Subang Airport to Batam. Travelers can take flight instead. As least, the reliability of the luggage safely is higher.

Fortune Day

Yesterday, my colleagues bought me a dinner at Sushi Zanmai, One Utama. Coincidentally, when the time we stepped in, they were celebrating Happy Hour (1^st Year Anniversary, from 7pm-8pm). They provided some games and shout out to every customer who was participated. Frankly, it was nothing attractive to us, since we just came in for dinner, and we didn’t join any game arranged by them. However, they have lucky Sushi logo hidden from each of the Sushi plates. Among 8 plates we ate, we gained 3 lucky plates, which free us 3 RM20 vouchers. Yet, for each receipt more than RM100 and above, will get another RM10 voucher. Wow, it was a lucky day for us. We spent RM140, but we saved almost 50% of the dinner. Anyhow, we just used 2 RM20 vouchers for billing and kept another RM30 voucher for the next visit.

After a great dinner, as a repayment, I bought them some desserts at Haagen-dazs. At the same time, they were having 15^th Anniversary, by providing 15% discount on a selected items.

Wasn’t it a fortune date for us?? Anyhow, Mag and Rachel, I wouldn’t count yesterday meal as my free dinner. Please buy me another luncheon as promised (Haha).

Goodbye, Wisdom Tooth

Today is my day for dental operation. Based on my last consultation, my teeth got 7 holes need to fill, and one wisdom tooth need to extract. I went for the dentist immediately after work (left company one hour earlier .. hehe). Surely, I had my dinner and took a bath before the operation had started. When the time I stepped in into to the clinic, I felt nervous since I have never extracted my tooth past 10 years ago. Lucky, I met a friendly dentist. He is so humors to release my tension, by explaining a simple process of the operation. Basically, the whole operation is not pain after the dentist injected narcotic on me, and my left hand of mouth numbs for 3 hours. Well, time for payment. The whole process of the operation charged me RM780 (RM530 for wisdom tooth extraction including X-Ray, RM300 for 7 holes filling, and RM50 for discount). For me, the price is still reasonable compare to other dental clinic. Now, The effect of narcotic is gone and started to feel pain. PAIN, PAIN, PAIN. (I hope i still retain my wisdom after extracted my wisdom tooth .. haha).

Beach Camping at Teluk Segadas

"Twinkle, twinkle, little star, How I wonder what you are". This is a famous kid song when I was in the childhood. That night was dark and windy. I laid down at the beach with camp mates. We were watching stars on the sky, and counting the uncountable stars. We waited for the appearance of meteor, and stared blankly. These are all things where we were rare to do in urban city. I don't know how long I have slept on the beach side. But, when I opened my eyes, I still see stars on top of me. It was so wonderful and it's just a night only.

** Travel mate and tent mate

This is my second camp trip after Jerangkang camp trip. However, it was my first camp trip at the beach. My camp side is located at Teluk Segadas, Pangkor Island. This trip consisted of 21 people including a kid. Teluk Segadas is a secluded beach where it needs to take 20 minutes jungle trekking before reach there. It is a permitted camp side by providing a toilet, kitchen, bathroom, and even a generator for lighting at night. The provided facilities need to be charged based on head count, and it costs RM15 per person. After across from the main land, we had a lunch nears jetty to provide better energy for the next trekking (van from jetty to beginning point jungle trekking was RM1 per head). For me, it is not so hard to walk into up-down hill. However, we need to carry foods, drinking water, tents, camp gears and other things that cause us exhausted (they bring pack of ais cube for beer, and I was one of a victim to carry. Can you imagine how heavy of the stuff??). It slowed down the team movement. However, nothing can stop us to continue our pace. It was such a “HOPE” to everyone when sound of sea waves was getting near. Everyone ran ahead to the beach and enjoyed the beautiful view of the secluded beach. Without delaying the time, we started to set up our own tent by looking on the proper floor. After completed the setup, it is the time to blast into the sea. We spent an hour to two in the sea together with some photo shooting moment as well. After a joyous swim in the sea, we started to set up camp fire to burn up the camping’s feel. At the same time, we did BBQ too

At the Dusk, we run toward into the sea again. This time, we did something dumb requested by Cheras Girls. We used stone to crack off the shell pasted on the boulder to get the oyster, and ate it on the spot after cleaned with the sea water. After a clean bath, some people started activities like gambling with using nuts as chips, plus beers and liquor. In fact, I did not join the group. I started to set my styrofoam carpet and enjoyed the nature moment in darkness. Sooner, few companies joined me as well. When the sea water was getting low tide, George took out his fishing gear and fishing alone farther away from the sea side. At the meantime, few of us followed him too, walked around and caught crabs. The night was passing fast, and it was a simple and peaceful night for me.

** Activities at night

Day2, after we had breakfast with some sandwiches. Again, we jumped into the sea before we packed off. We left the camp side around 12pm and returned to Lumut at 2pm. After that, we went to the "海味店" (dried seafood shop) near Lumut. Then, we drove to Pantai Gemis for a lunch, which recommended by George (Kedai Makanan Laut Ng Chin Boon (Ma Ga Ka)). The foods are quit nice, especially Oh-Ni (Yam), Mantis Prawn and Cucumber Crab. After a satisfaction lunch, we ended the trip with another new camping experience.

告别, 南舅公!

今天一早, 妈妈就给我带来一个坏消息. 南舅公因癌症过世了. 在蒙蒙胧胧的一杀那, 我也不知道该说些什么, 只好接受事实. 其实, 整天的心情并不是太好. 但是, 工作毕竟是工作, 我不可能把我的情绪搬到工作内.

妈妈一直埋怨为什么不早点去探望他, 总是喜欢说 “明天吧”. 其实在我们的人生, 真的太多明天了. 但是, 对有些人, 明天可能是他的最后一天.

晚上, 我与家人一起出席南舅公的葬礼. 也许有点沉闷, 舅舅们和干爹都提议到到附近的茶店喝一杯茶, 但是, 茶竟然变成酒. 哈哈!

可能酒精的关系, 我终于把签证的事实告诉了干爹和家人. 干爹非常的鼓励我而妈妈和哥哥并没有说太多. 但是, 他们并没有反对. 反而, 妈妈却说了一句话 “我不会住址你的前途!”. 其实, 我懂妈妈是不舍得的, 但是 ……. !! 妈妈的心, 只有妈妈懂 ~

人生, 到底有多少个明天, 不要等失去才来珍惜. 要好好的享受今天; 好好的珍惜今天. 谢谢, 干爹. 你的鼓励让我确定了我的决定!

对不起, 妈妈. 人生的路实在太长了. 或许, 你应该放手让我尝试走走吧!

My first F1 Circuit, Sepang Malaysia 2009

It was eleven in the Sunday morning. I was awakened by George to accompany him to F1 racing with 2 free tickets. With mind of dull, I promised him. I was so tired with continuously late work until mid night for past 5 days. Finally, it was completed and I truly hope our efforts will gains something in the project. With this opportunity, I think it was a chance to me to release tension.

Well, it was my first time in F1 race show. I felt a little bit exciting with the race show. Unfortunately, HL’s mother had a small accident while walking down from staircase (I hope she is fine now). It stopped George attends the F1 with me. With no choice, I have to find another partner without wasted the ticket which is worth RM400 each. Heng is a F1 lover. He is the best candidate to be invited, and I “forced” him to drive (haha… devil). It was a smooth journey along the way until we reached to the F1 ticket booth. We need to buy a parking ticket to enter to the car park. It charged us RM50 each, at PA4 (it is the cheapest ticket and it was long in queue). This is my most expensive parking ticket I have never bought before. However, we still have not reached to our destination after came out from the ticket booth. It was jam like hell and we stucked in the congestion in an hour, with just a short distance (less than 1 km). The worst part is we spent RM50 to park our car in the mud land (haha, is it worth with RM50?). We were 30 minutes late to the seat. But, I don’t think we have missed anything since the race car still will pass the same point again and again. Throughout, we still enjoyed the race with extreme “groooooom”. My ears almost penetrated with the tremendous F1 engine’s sound (hehe, we didn’t get any ear plug). Something was disappointed in lap 33. They have to halt the race after raised out the red flag due of the heavy rain. The wet track is not allowed any racer continues the race in high risk, and it ended the race. Errrr, I quite disappointed with that arrangement, but we cannot do much on it.

This event was meant to me to experience the flaming atmosphere with crowed crazy fans. Between, I really enjoyed the moment of the race car past in front of me. For those fans who love F1, now I know why you all were willing to spend such money on it. The feeling of viewing in live is totally different from TV's live show. Nevertheless, I will rather spend the money in other events or other stuff rather than “F1 parking ticket and entrance ticket” (some more with terrible jam..haha).

Tips for the first time visitor ** I saw quite number of cars parked outside from Sepang Circuit. With certain risk, you can save your parking fee if you dare to do it.

Chiang Mai Trip with 2 girls

I have been to Thailand few times. But, nothing can stop me visit to Thailand again because I’m really loved to travel across this country. Once again, I packed myself to another part of Thailand which is located at Northern Thailand, called Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. Northern Thailand is a province surrounded by mountains. The wonderful natural environment reserved by the government of Thailand and much of the area still remains unspoiled wilderness.

As usual, we took the Sky Bus, and it is the cheapest way to LCCT. We departed from KL at 9a.m in the morning and arrived at Chiang Mai International airport at around 11a.m. There is one hour time difference between Kuala Lumpur and Chiang Mai. Rilek (a.k.a Lek or Lek-the-candle) is Chloe’s Thai friend where they were met in Australia past few years. He is such a kind and friendly guy to be our “Limo driver” and tours us around the Chiang Mai city.

To avoid too much disturbance from Lek, we hired a driver to fetch us after Lek dropped us at Hostel (Elegant Lanna Guest House - www.elegantlanna.com). Based on our itinerary in day one, we did a half day tour at Wat Prathat Doi Suithep and Chiang Mai old town city. Due to the time constraint, we just went for 2 temples which was Wat Chiang Man, Wat Chedi Luang. For me, it is good to enough since temples are not the main attraction in Chiang Mai. To complete our trip with the most famous fine dinner in Northern Thai, Lek brought us to Khum Khantoke (cost 350 baht per head). It is a northern cuisine enhanced with cultural show. According to Lek, it is a “must” food for those pioneer visitors.

Day 2 is a full day tour to the most North district of Thailand which is Chiang Rai, Chiang Sean and Mao Sai. It took us 3 hours to destination. In the middle of the way, we had made 2 stops at Mae Kajan Hot Spring and Wat Rongkhun, the White Temple. We were lacked of time to linger around in these two places and just spent an hour to take some photos, then hurried to the next attraction at Golden Triangle (border between Thailand, Burma and Loas). From the jetty, we can ride across the river by long tail boat from Thailand to Laos. It only charges 300 baht for the boat service and another 20 baht for the entrance visa to access a market at Laos (famous whisky with creature). However, we didn’t across the river and detour to the nearest market next to Golden Triangle’s temple. The next stop was Mae Sai Market, where it is the border between Thailand and Burma. We spent less than an hour to stroll around and had our lunch with buffet within the same district. Then, we took another one and half to Karen and Mao Village. It is a living place where the Karen Tribe (long neck lady) is stayed. We met another 2 tribes called Arca(black teeth) and Mao (big ear tribe) as well. Based of the information of Lek, this is not the actual living place of them, but built by government as a tourism area, to help them to survive by selling some handcraft and local made products, as well as preserving the origins of the culture. It took another 3 hours to go back to Chiang Rai town. It was an inflexible, stretched and tired trip to me. Yet, we still continue to walk at the Night Baazar near our hostel until 11pm.

Day 3 is stated on Sunday. Lek sacrificed his rest time by touring us to Doi Inthanon National Park, where it is the highest mountain located in Thailand. It is also known as the roof of Thailand. The journey took us around 2 hours from Chiang Mai city. The first spot we were reached is Doi Inthanon. It was a sunny day, but cold and windy when we arrived. The main attraction of this place is colorful flowers and modern temples. The flowers were blooming along the main road until the hill of temples. The excellent weather made us continuously snapping the pictures. The next spot was the Peak point of the mountain. It is not hard to reach to the highest point of the mountain, but 5 minutes walking step only. The peak point stands opposite from the military centre, and you will see some radar established end of the road. After the photo session the peak point, we drove the car down to the national bird park for bird watching. It took us less than an hour to complete the circle. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any bird neither sound (LOL). However, It was a relax's stroll, and we did to discover nature with a leisurely pace. We spent our lunch on top of mountain and went back to Chiang Mai City at around 2pm. I feel regrettable to miss some other attraction areas, especially Wachiratharn Waterfall due of the time constraint. We walked around at The Airport Centre (Shopping Mall) after Lek had left us. Then, we went to the walking street at 5pm (the market’s stall is opened at 5pm). It is an amazing night market I have never seen. It is huge, crowded and assorted. Unbelievable, we spent 5 hours just walk around stall by stall. Surely, I wouldn’t miss to buy some gifts and taste their local foods. We went back to hostel at 10p.m, something crazy happened after showered, we decided to go back to walking street again and stayed there untill mid night. God! We love that place and we were unable to visit every stall (we spent total of 6-7 hours just a night market!). Ended up, I was over tired and nap while doing foot massage.

Day 4, after had the breakfast, we carried on our time to Queen Sirikit Botanical Garden. There are 4 main trails inside the park. However, we didn’t go to visit every trail. Eventually, we just focused to 3 main attractions which are a glass house, Australia Garden and White Flower Garden. We spent 3 hours to stroll around the park before next location, Chiang Mai Zoo. This Zoo is as ordinary as other zoos that I had visited before. The special of this zoo is consisted of Panda (extra 300 baht for entrance fee) and Koala. Besides, the land size of the zoo is even bigger than other zoo. Initially, we planned to visit by our foot. After certain miles, we found it is impossible without taking the bus from one to another station (2km-3km). The bus fee is charged 20 baht only. After an exhausted sunny walk, we move ourselves to another attraction in Chaing Mai called Royal Flora Ratchaphruek. SHIT! I didn’t prepare my homework well. It is closed on every Monday. With no choice, we requested the guide to allow us to take some photos in the front gate. We go back disappointed but still enjoyed the moment of photo shooting. It was the last night for us. Lek, our great friend cum part time tour guide, brought us to a special place for dinner. He brought his pretty wife along (he told us he has married a fat wife, but he lied on us), and we bought them the dinner as farewell event. This is a remarkable restaurant near the side of the river called Riverside (http://www.theriversidechiangmai.com/). The food was so great with the reasonable bill (795 baht for five persons). After the dinner, Lek brought us to another famous dessert shop called MONT. I have ordered a glass of Pink Milk which is the significance drink here. Well, it was the last day in Chiang Mai. Definitely, we wouldn’t missed out relax activity with massage. We did an aromatic body oil massage (300 baht). It was so great and my muscle was totally released after a proper kneaded.

Last day, we walked around at the market with a delicious breakfast. After that, we started to pack up our luggage. It was a time to say bye-bye.
About this trip, it was a trip consists of 2 girls and a guy. I always afraid emotional issues happened on girl while traveling. However, they didn’t make any trouble and contributed lots of fun along the journey. Perhaps, it is a pleased to my next trip’s partner. Secondly, I wish to "THANKS*100" to Lek, our beautiful Lily Candle, willing to spend his valuable time with us, fetched us and treated us as well. It was my first time to meet him. But, he is so passion, initiative and friendly to be our friend. I don't know how to compensate you unless you come to visit Malaysia next time. Please do it, okay!

Finally, nine months have gone. Jennifer, Sister-in-Law has born a baby boy today. It is considered a delightful news to my family. Both of them are safe. New member has added in Yap family’s tree. And, I am upgraded to another level so called “Uncle” (OMG ~ such an old title). It was a busy night to me to help my brother to set up all the infant’s equipment. Tired but feel happy. I miss my nephew so much and expect to see him again on the next day.

End of the Chinese New Year, it means 15 days have passed and I feel myself still lingering with improper plan. I still remember the most difficult time in my life over the past few years. My life almost collapsed with coincidental incident by messy family, broken friendship, ambiguous career, over budget finance and unstable relationship **hard to believe**. It was a super bad year to me.

This year, is considered another "sui"(bad luck) year to me, who born in year of goat. Well, I am not a superstitious person. But, I will believe on it sometimes. In Chinese words, we have an idiom called "宁可信其有, 不可信其无". Yes, it is true. In the midst of the New Year, something happened 2 years ago has occurred again. AGAIN! (Why me again??) This time, I did nothing in action but ignorant. Don't ask me why, neither me to answer it. Even though it is not a good year to me, I was still enjoying the moment with my beloved family, relatives and friends. As usual, we had the full day meal until cannot fill in, but still fill; we had made round for gamble session. Win and lose are not a main issue, but time of joyful.

Today is Chap Goh Meh (Actually, just passed an hour). But I still wish everyone to have a great Chinese Valentine with their beloved. For those who don't have any partner like me. SIGH, gambateh looooo ~ what to do? HeHe

Tea Break

Today, we (Colleagues) had a heavy breakfast and late lunch. Unexpectedly, our director bought us a Nasi Lemak as breakfast and asked for a late lunch at The Teapot Cafe at SS2. This cafe is one of her favorite place that she likes to visit occasionally. We have ordered Scones (famous dessert), Fried Squid, Mee Goreng(local fried noodle), and salad potato as appetizer, accompanied with British tea(red tea). This restaurant is decorated toward to British style and owned by one of the Datin in Malaysia. There are more than 50 different designs of display's teapot at anywhere.

Day of Eel Fishing

The day was still dawn, and i have to wake up to prepare myself for today activity, eel fishing. It is my first time to fish. This outdoor activity was invited by George on last week. Without thinking too much, i promised immediately.

Our fishing location is located at the paddy field in Sekinchan, Selangor. It took us around 2 hours to reach the destination. When we reached to the paddy field, we start to prepare the necessary gears like rod (substituted it with long pipe, rotten, bamboo, even a groom stick), baits (squid), spool and pile. We separated the big group in several teams. Again, my partner is Paullie. In order to find the eel, we need to find the holes along the drain, then search the hidden place of the eel. Within 2 hours, we have walked from one side paddy field to another side. Both of us don't even know which the hole for the eel’s hidden place is, until we met Jack. Jack taught us the way to look the eel's hole and some strategy to hook the eel when it eats the bait. Unfortunately, when the time we started to get the result, the weather started to get hot and heat. It was around 12.30pm. Other mates were calling and chasing us for the return. Well, without any excellent result, we gotta to return to the car and start packing for lunch.

We had our lunch at Restaurant Jiann Chyi. It was a great lunch for me with the sharp porridge. The taste of the porridge is totally difference that what I had in Kuala Lumpur. It is more toward to Toew Chew flavor and tastes a little bit spicy, with the topping of fresh fish ball. We ordered few dishes which are famous in the restaurant. From the main entrance, there is a banner published with Ah Xian's face and the food are definitely determined.

It was a short trip, but it makes us fun and joy along the trip.

五月的夏天

五月天，短短的假期，填满了自由的空间。

离开了压逼的工作，沉闷的家庭，随手提起轻便的旅行包，往向斗湖(Tawau) 。斗湖是我离开工作室的第一个旅行境点，也是我第一次到西海岸。这里并没有吉隆坡的繁荣生活，也没有城市的高楼大厦,只有平静的小城市.抬头一望，蓝蓝的天空，并没有一尘的污染。抵达的第一天，幽闲的往向小镇走走，放下快速的步伐，四处参观当地的建筑特色，漫步在大自然的海岸，也品赏本地的家乡食物。当晚，我们还非常奢毫的享用满桌的山珍海味，无法形容食物的美味，只有你的舌头能告诉你。哈哈！经典的节目期待在第二天，离开了大陆，大概三十五分钟，抵达了一个人间天堂的小岛 (Kapalai-Sipadan Resort)。小岛的面积才小小的五十英畝，但切让我大开眼界。优美和自然的景色，让我禁不自情的释放囚监中的自由。非常的遗憾，并没有机会到西巴旦岛 (Sipadan Island) 一游，只好远远的用我的肉眼看吧！渐渐的爱上了这里，轻轻的告诉它，一定要等我在来哦~~！

在同事们的要请下, 终于, 我还是厚着面皮, 答应参加公室内的”Department Trip”.老实说,虽然我已经正式了离开办公室,但是,很想与他们一起来个简单的旅程.哈哈! 坡得申(Port Dickson)我五月的第二个旅点. 在委員會的精心安排中, 每位参赛者都必须过关斩将的参与寻宝游戏.艰难的过程中, 队员们都非常的享受, 而且,每个队员都非常的用心去完成每一项任务.晚上,委員會还准备了一连窗的室内节目,让每一位同事都有近距离的沟通;近距离的合作. 其实,我真的非常喜爱此公司. 但是, 人自有各, 加上家里和社会的负担. 我必须离开, 重新调整自己的财务, 在往我的新事业挑战. 无论如此, 还得谢谢老板在我最失意时, 给我一个小小的机会. 虽然只有短短一年的参与, 但我会永远记得公司给我的培养, 同事们给我的欢乐.

接下来的第三周, 我在一次的又”打抱” 行李. 这次我将会离开吉隆坡四天三夜, 往上马来西亚的北部, 然后再继续向东海岸前进.关丹是旅程的最后一站. 这一次的马来西亚半岛之旅二, 是延续马来西亚半岛之旅一的旅程. 过程的仔细, 可以通过以下的地址.

休息了两周, 在一位旧同事的邀请下. 终于, 我又往东海岸的停泊岛一游. 小住了三天两夜, 切让我亲身体验到一些岛上工作经验. 由于,这次的旅程, 除了交通路费, 全程由我的旧同事(D先生)的公司赞助. 所以, 我也纯粹助于D先生在摄影的工作内. 其实, 旅程中, 让我获益最大的并不是得到一个免费的旅程, 而是认识一班来自不同背景的朋友, 也让我感受到岛上工作的压力和不简单. Charlotte是我认识的女性朋友当中最勇敢的一位. 她曾经是一位癌症病患者, 经过生死的边界. 但是, 她非常勇敢的面对死神,与他生死一战. 坚持信念的她, 没有放弃任何痊愈的机会. 最后, 坚强的信念终于打动了死神的歪念, 放弃了夺走她的生命, 而且还完完整整的归还健康. 和她交谈一杀那, 我并没有问她太多的问题, 因为那段日子已经是过式词了. 今天, 她的生存意义比任何人都来得更珍惜. 对于身体完美无确的我们, 更应该爱惜目前的生活和现在的一切. 我非常欣赏她对生活态度的认真, 和生命的爱惜.

在岛上的第一晚, 因为有一位职员的离开, 大家都被邀请到道岛上的另一角落用餐. 但是, 我们必须用只能乘坐容纳八个人的 ’Sampan’ 过海. 满天的星星挂在天空, 布满了漆黑的背后. 在欣赏夜景的那一刻, 我突然害怕了起来. 原来, 小小的木船竟然流到海的中间了. 在汪汪的大海中, 我紧紧的握住船的木角, 害怕海浪狠狠地把我抛出海中. 眼看木船靠近了海岸, 但是, 因为退潮的关系, 木船必须在海水中的二百公里弃下大家. 真的无法想象, 我既然在漆黑的海水中漫步, 在加上 “Junior” 船长大声的提醒: “be careful STING FISH, be careful SEA URCHIN”, 更让我担心海底下的生物. 还好, 大家都安全的有惊无险的越过了浅浅海水. 不过, 更刺激的经验竟然发生在晚餐过后. 起先, 刮起小风, 在来小雨. 我正的无法想象, 一艘只能容纳八个人的 ’Sampan’, 在黑暗中, 没有了星星的光照下, 加上风和雨的交叉. 那个时刻, 我突然想起陈小春的” 神啊! 救救我吧”….. 不管啦!
闭上了眼睛, 放松心情. 猛烈的风和寒冷的雨泼在我的脸上. 静静的, 我的心变空了, 没有害怕, 也没有杂念, 心境被大自然包围了起来, 融合在一起. 或许, 我应该享受吧! 当我睁开眼睛时, 我已经抵达了码头. 当然, 我也变成落荡鸡….这样, 我又过了一夜.

停泊岛的第二天, 在 Universal Diver 的安排下, 我被鼓励参加预备班潜水课程 (Discovery Scuba Diving). 真的非常的棒! 第一次在深海中的十尺内飞翔. 只听到呼吸和泡沫的声音..或许有点小小的天分吧,所以指导者也非常信心的松开我的双手,让我自由控制海底的平衡点.我没有害怕,也没有恐惧,就是慢慢的欣赏身旁的海底生物.随着,我也开始被这深蓝的梦幻,一点一点地压榨出了对陆地的厌倦.毕竟,我并不是一只鱼,当时间一到,唯一能做的,就是再次深呼吸,慢慢的往海岸游去.海底的宁静也默默的离我而去.但是,我也感到庆幸,身心曾有过这一完全属于清零的静止时光.

旅行让我人生的故事中添上精彩,每一步的句号, 都让期待下一步的开始.
